About Our Founder
When Suzanne Scheuble was 11 years old, she knew she was being called to care for orphans in Ethiopia.
After visiting numerous orphanages across the world and witnessing the appalling conditions in some of these institutions, her vision became clear.
Suzanne witnessed countless abandoned babies, people dying of AIDS, children suffering from starvation, orphans denied love and care, mothers with babies living on the streets, tuberculosis, and so much suffering. At that point, she decided to give her entire life to serving orphaned children.
Five years later, in 2017, her dream became a reality when she visited Ethiopia. She decided to make Ethiopia her home where she then founded Netsanet Ministries a 501c3.
Her vision was to create beautiful, family style homes for special needs, abandoned, and orphaned children while simultaneously working to prevent many children from becoming orphaned by providing core family assistance.
Suzanne, with her B.A. in Child Psychology, currently works as the full-time, unpaid executive director of the organization. She lives in Hawassa, Ethiopia with her husband, Abraham, who is a doctor. Abraham, also unpaid, works tirelessly to coordinate the medical care for the children and the organization. Suzanne and Abraham have 5 beautiful children.
Since opening, Netsanet has cared for thousands of children in the community. The organization believes in caring for the most forgotten and unloved children in society. Through their love and dedication, Netsanet is called to care for and empower the poorest of the poor.
